Festive Fun
Having kids makes the holidays even more fun! Everything is so new and exciting to them and it’s hard to not get caught up in that excitement along with them. Adding Christmas charm into Levi’s room has been so sweet. I got him his own little tree, complete with felt garland and little felt animal ornaments—not only are they so cute, but they seemed like the best non-breakable option for him at this age. I’ve written before about my love for felt garlands to decorate his bookshelf throughout the year and this peppermint garland is just too cute, unfortunately it’s old, but when looking around for something similar I came across this candy cane garland and this peppermint and gingerbread garland that I also love. And because one garland is simply not enough, I also got him a felt rainbow Christmas lights garland to hang on the wall over his crib. Taking out all the holiday books is another easy (and practical!) way to decorate. The covers are cute and festive and we love reading, so refreshing our library is always exciting. A current favorite is Little Blue Truck’s Christmas—not sure what he loves more his favorite characters in Christmas theme or the lights that lights up on the last page. New this year, I order these precious gingerbread crib sheets and I could not be more obsessed. I kind of wish they came in grownup bed options too. I love that adding in all these small and relatively easy touches, transforms his space into something so festive and cheery for the season!
