Housewarming Gift Ideas

I love putting together little gifts for people. Sometimes I think the little things are more fun than the high pressure I feel during the typical gift giving seasons (the holidays & birthdays etc). Housewarming gifts are so fun because you can pick a couple of small things and put them together in a basket and it feels substantial, but it’s also easy! I know this isn’t revolutionary stuff here, but I still felt it was worth sharing.

Find a basket that in and of itself could be useful for organization, then add 2-3 “house” items everyone needs like a cute dishtowel, a nice handsoap etc. These things can also be fun to have on hand at your house for hostess gift ideas if you’re going over to someone’s house and need a last minute gift. Things like dishtowels, candles, even the baskets often come in sets and so you can buy a bunch at once and have them on hand for the future.

Some other ideas of what you could put in the baskets are:

• a bottle of wine

• candles

• a small houseplant

• olive oil

• tea

• salad servers

• wine bottle opener
