Holiday Style for Baby Boys

There’s no denying that baby clothes are adorable—I mean tiny anything is pretty sweet. There’s also no denying that baby girl clothes are cuter, easier to find, and seem to be more in abundance in the stores and online. Go to the baby section of any store and you’ll find five racks of baby girl clothes for every one rack of baby boy clothes. No joke. And that’s fine, but then when you’re in the baby boy clothes section 50% of it is covered in trucks, dinosaurs, or animals. If you want a pattern, it better be stripes or plaid! And there’s nothing wrong with stripes or plaid. It’s just that in the girls section you can get stripes or plaid, or floral or polkadots or swiss dot—really any kind of dot. You can find cute fruit prints, organic shapes, stars and moons and don’t get me started on the bows and the ruffles. There’s just more. And they can wear more too. They can wear sweaters and pants, but they can also wear dresses and tights and bubble onesies. The list goes on. Don’t worry. I know I have a baby and not a doll, but that doesn’t mean that I wasn’t very much looking forward to picking out little outfits. So I’ve been pretty determined to find sweet little boy outfit perfect for my sweet little boy. I have devoted a lot of time to scouring online and in store for outfits that would match my aesthetic, and I figured I should share those here. Because I know that there are probably many moms trying to do the same.

For this post I’ll focus on clothes for winter and the holiday season—think lots of cozy knits and fair isle.

I bought these rib knit leggings in multiple colors and plan to buy bigger sizes once he grows out them. I love the texture, the little buttons and the cuffs!

I’m a sucker for a baby in a sweater—this one is incredibly soft and I love the buttons on the shoulder to make to putting it and taking it off a little easier!

This fair isle sweater one piece is great for the holiday, but also January and February. It’s cozy and warm and conveniently snaps at the bottom for diaper changes.
