Fall and Winter Nail Polish Colors
I’ve been into nail polish for as long as I can remember. I have a distinct memory of spilling red nail polish on my bathroom floor as a child while trying to paint them (mom’s nightmare, right?) and by the time I was 15, I could paint my own nails (both hands!) better than all of my friends. My nails grow fast and I hate the look of growth in manicures even if the polish is still in tact, so I like to do my nails frequently. Since it would be expensive to get my nails done professionally once a week, I do my own nails majority of the time. I experiment with a lot of colors, but tend to come back to a handful of tried and true colors. Here’s a few of my favorites for the fall and winter seasons.
Bahama Mama
A dark and moody deep purple – this color is on rotation September - March.
Big Apple Red
A perfect true red for the holidays. This shade is perfect all year round, but is a must for me during December.
Miami Beet
Just like the name suggests, this is a beautiful, rich beet color polish that looks wonderfully jewel-toned for the cooler months. It’s not as dark as Bahama Mama and feels a little more cheery.
Wicked
An almost black, deep red – I prefer this polish to a true black because it’s not quite as harsh.
Got the Blues for Red
A darker, but still classic red. This is another must for the holiday season.
Ballet Slippers
A classic white pink – this color is great year round.
