5 Beauty Products I Love

I’m by no means a makeup expert, but I do wear it everyday (probably have for the past 17 years) and have fun experimenting with different products. I go through phases where I want to wear heavier makeup and phases where I prefer to be a little more quick and natural. Here are five beauty products that use regularly.

GRANDELASH MD LASH ENHANCING SERUM - I started using GrandeLASH in 2015 after developing an allergic reaction to the lash extensions that I had been wearing. I loved my lash extensions, but after a few months of having them, I developed an irritation and had no choice but to stop wearing them. Since I had lash extensions on for so long, my natural lashes were not in great shape. I started GrandeLASH as a way to attempt to restore my natural lashes to their original state, but quickly became addicted and a huge evangelist of the serum. My lashes were longer than they had ever been and I’ve used it ever since. In my experience, using lash serums don’t make your lashes as thick as lash extensions do, but they definitely work for length.

TOO FACED BETTER THAN SEX MASCARA - I discovered this mascara less than a year ago when I saw many bloggers swear by it. I’d tried a number of mascaras in the past and mostly found them all to be the same except for the applicator brush. I’d always gone back to the Maybelline mascara I had used since high school since the price was right and I liked the shape of the applicator. I thought I’d give this one a try since there were so many good reviews online and I’d heard so many good things from people I knew. The thing that I think sets this mascara apart from others is that you can layer it with multiple coats. When I’ve done that with other mascaras my lashes would always clump up and look terrible. The one downside of this mascara is that it is a little more crumbly and so it can sometimes flake. Because of that, I don’t use this on my bottom lashes as those tend to rub a little more underneath my eyes anyway.

ISLE OF PARADISE SELF TANNING DROPS - I’m naturally very fair, but like most people, look better with a little tan. I’ve tried a lot of self tanners, but have never been good about being consistent with putting them on to keep up the tan and always get a little nervous putting them on my face. I heard good things about these tanning drops – you can add them right into your moisturizer at night which seemed really easy and so I figured I’d give them a shot. I love that you can control the amount you add in to adjust it to the darkness of the tan you want. It goes on evenly and the color looks really natural. I bought the medium color and add about 2 drops into my moisturizer at night around 2 times a week. I recommend including your neck as well when you’re applying!

FRESH SUGAR LIP TREATMENT - I have three different shades in these lip balms and have used them for years. They go on so smoothly, have SPF in them and give you just enough color to finish a look without being a full heavy lipstick. I swear by the color petal, which is a soft neutral pinkish color that goes with everything.

TARTE SHAPE TAPE - I’m newer to this product, but have really liked it so far. It’s another cult favorite that I’ve only just discovered. I have naturally dark circles under my eyes and have not found too many concealers that do much to cover them. This concealer is thick and heavier coverage than I usually use in my makeup, but it seems to be working well and blends nicely with my foundation, even though its much lighter weight. I’ve been using a beauty blender to apply this and actually carry it up onto my eyelids as well so it works well as base for my eyeshadows.
