Baby's First Easter Basket

Something I’ve always looked forward to whenever I would think about having kids is all of the traditions, big and small, I could create around the holidays. Now that Levi is here it means there is so much more to look forward to! I’m already planning his Easter basket and getting excited at the thought of putting it together. I don’t think giving gifts is necessary or even that establishing holiday traditions has to be gift-related, but it’s fun to put a little something together. One way to be a little more cost-conscious, especially when kids are so little, is to package up things you already planned to get them–bubble bath, fresh pjs, a sippy cup etc. Choose a color or theme that matches the holiday and it’s festive and practical and you don’t end up with a bunch of little junk (there’ll be plenty of that ahead with goody bags from birthday parties in the future).

For the baskets themselves, second-hand stores Iike Goodwill are a great place to find them! There always seems to be a ton, but if you have a specific look in mind, I’ve pulled together a couple of cute options (this looks just like mine but with a slightly different liner and I love this one).

Levi will be 7 months old for Easter this year! For his basket I included some bunny pjs, an adorable swimsuit (his first one!), a sun hat, a cute toy, a board book, and some wooden musical instruments.
