An At-Home Manicure Game-Changer

Like I mentioned in this post, I’ve been painting my nails myself for a long time. I know all of the burdens of at home manicures – it takes forever to dry, it’s hard to do your opposite hand, and even when you think they’ve been dry for hours you somehow always end up with sheet imprints on them in the morning. The Essie Gel Setter top coat was recommended to me years ago by a friend because it supposedly gives the super shiny look that gel manicures have. I decided to give it a shot and found that not only does it indeed leave your nails extremely shiny, for some reason it makes your nail polish dry and harden really fast! This is the secret to this top coat and why I’ve used it ever since. I no longer have to wait forever for my nails to dry! The shininess is really just an extra, it’s a game-changer for me because I can paint my nails quickly and at any time of day and not worry about smudging them or having to sit still for 30 minutes.
