Recent Beauty & Skincare Buys

I’m definitely not a beauty blogger. I’m sure makeup artists would tell me I’m doing it all wrong, but I do enjoy finding new tricks or products to try. So I thought I’d round up a few of my recent purchases that I’m very happy with!

Lilly Skin Makeup Remover Pads

I don’t know how these things work and frankly I don’t need to know. They somehow take your eye makeup off with just warm water and then can be thrown in the wash and reused. They’re super gentle and I swear they take my makeup off better than makeup remover and a cotton ball.

Tarte Fake Awake Eyeliner

Add this to your waterline and your eyes will instantly look wider and more awake. I’ve used white eyeliner for this in the past, but this nude color is SO much better and looks more natural.

Ilia Balmy Gloss Tinted Lip Oil

A few years ago, I developed an allergy to all my lipsticks. (Yes it’s just as devastating as it sounds). I’m still not quite sure what it is that triggers the allergy, but suspect it’s something in the wax as I’ve tried so many different brands to no avail. Since then I’ve had to switch to liquid lipsticks and glosses which aren’t my favorite. But this goes on so nicely and adds a nice bit of color and doesn’t feel sticky. I own the colors Tahiti and Petal.

Batiste Dry Shampoo

I used the Bumble and Bumble dry shampoo for years and still like it. It’s a powder rather than an aerosol which has its benefits. But a co-worker recommended this brand and I’ve seen fallen for it. It has a fresh scent (I use the “original”) and does the trick, all for a very reasonable price!
